ASSOCIATION FOR CONTRACT TEXTILES
SAMPLE RETURN AND REUSE PROGRAM
The Association for Contract Textiles is pleased to introduce a program that takes a pro-active approach to a growing problem. Textile samples are critical to the business of all the ACT companies and you, our clients. Many samples are requested for specific projects which when finished, leaves a design firm with a great deal of materials they no longer need. These samples are durable and could be re-used if they could be returned to the ACT Company. The Sample Return and Reuse Program offers a solution. By reclaiming all kinds of textile samples, we put them back into the field thereby cutting waste and reducing the number of new samples that need to be produced. At the same time the return process creates jobs for people who need opportunities.
THE COSTS OF THIS PROGRAM ARE CARRIED ENTIRELY BY THE ACT MEMBER COMPANIES.
HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK?
HOW TO GET ON BOARD!
Attn: Leslie Cook
Once you receive your first box, there is no more paperwork to do. You will automatically receive a new box each time you send one back for Return and Reuse.
This is a private, not-for-profit organization working with people who have barriers to employment. These are competent, capable adults who may have suffered a medical setback, overcome a chemical dependency or who have varied physical or mental abilities. Watauga enables participants to become more self-reliant and readies them for the outside workforce.
A WINNING PROGRAM FOR EVERYONE!
This program offers a solution to resource libraries over flowing with samples that are no longer needed.
ACT MEMBER COMPANIES
This program enables our members to re-acquire samples to be used again at a much lower cost than producing them new. Lower sample costs help contain fabric costs.
This program creates jobs for this meaningful organization which works hard to help those who need it.
This program helps reduce landfill by putting samples that are normally used once and discarded back into circulation within the A&D community. If fewer new samples need to be produced, the energy and transportation used to produce the fabric and samples are saved.
The ACT Member Companies are proud to offer this program and welcome your comments and suggestions. Please e-mail us at:firstname.lastname@example.org
